Ann Demeulemeester fall winter
2005
What remains is future
这是Patti Smith为Ann Demeulemeester fall/winter 06的show所写.
Ann
I believe that the future is open, that the best thing has to come, that we create them ourselves.
In all these years I have lived, I saw beautiful movies, interesting work of art, and I read good books. All these beautiful things are stuck in my head, and on certain moments, they came out in an uncontrolled way, and resonate into something new. It is all this energy of other artists which give me the energy to do my job well.
I try to give them (the clothes) strength. Clothing is for your skin, and your skin is for your soul. I try to bring some emotion into a person’s private life, this is what I work for. The simple silent strength.
