众多TED精彩演讲中的一个“English Mania”(英语的狂热)视频，是我们一直拿来给英语学员们练习连贯口语和模仿原版英语演讲的一个绝好材料，我的好多学员都曾用心模仿过它，并在台上公开展示过各自的精彩模仿。我估计，全中国的许多英语爱好者都用过这个视频，它时长短，只有4分钟长，英语语速慢，用词简单，但是却具有强有力的说服力，因为这个演讲是在著名的TED论坛上做的，面对的主要来自世界各领域的精英们，从中让我们看到，如何规划一个优秀的英语演讲，到世界的前台去 to let your voice be heard！

昨天我给“English mania”的演讲人Jay Walker写了一份邮件，说明我们在中国是如何用他的这个演讲来学习英语的，并向他索要演讲中用的PPT，今天就得到了Walker先生热情的回复(他在TED上演讲用的投影资料是mp4文件)：

注：应先反复模仿TED上的那个现场演讲视频，使用该原始投影材料模仿演讲时，需把Walker先生的预先录音关掉，他录音是用于自己准备上TED演讲时排练提醒用的。

Dear Mr. Walker:



My name is Philip Liu. I am Chinese and an English teacher working with the local training organization that teaches Chinese students English "by screaming it", which you mentioned in your TED talk 2009 "English Mania".



Since we found your TED talk English Mania on TED in 2010, we actually have been showing our students the video in order to encourage them to work even harder in their English learning because you, one of the most influential people in the world and a well-learned native speaker of English, has endorsed in your talk that "English represents hope for a better future, a future where the world has a common language to solve its common problems."



Every time we show our new students your TED talk, they are always deeply touched by your words. And we ask our students to watch the video many times  and imitate your speech until they can present the speech by themselves as if they were talking on TED stage! It works pretty well and we all love it.



However, we do not have the original PPT used in your talk so the imitation is not as that real and vivid as you did in TED talk.



So we would like to ask if you would kindly send us your original PPT for us to better imitate your talk as an effective way to learn English speech, and with fun!

I am sure our students will be excited and more encouraged to receive your reply!
