长凤洲
长凤洲，是枞阳被山洪冲走的一只陶罐
终年漂浮在长江水面上
是母亲给我的头盖骨。一生都要高举在头顶
七月大水，父亲东奔西走
长凤洲历尽九九八十一难，借一支莲花
还了魂
十月收棉，庄稼地里白花花的一片
一朵朵灯盏，接应天上的雪花
腊月二十四，纸钱飞舞，炮竹响声震天
洲上，家家户户烧香接祖
当年，死去的奶奶没有高铁乘坐
一路上小跑
和在人世间一样，小心做鬼，过每一道关卡
享用子孙的供品
十八岁，我长硬翅膀飞出了故乡
父母跟着进城。此后，再也没有回家
长凤洲像一尊倒在荒草中的佛
我把他供养在体内的寺庙。救赎，中秋的月光

Changfeng Island is an earthen pot
in Zongyang swirled away by mountain torrents
Floating all year long on the
surface of Changjiang River
Like the skull that mother gave me
To be held above my shoulders for all my life
In July a flood
came Father travelled around to earn a
living
Changfeng Island
Like a phoenix rising from its ashes
Was reborn on a lotus
October was a time for cotton
harvest When fields were covered with snow-white
Like buds of
lamps Embracing snowflakes from
heaven
On the Twenty-fourth day of
December Joss paper danced in the
air And firecrackers snapped
On this island People burned
incense to their ancestors
I remembered when my grandma passed
away There was no high-speed highway for her to take
So she had to trot all the way
along to Heaven
As she had been always doing in the
world She became a soul so careful to pass every
barrier
And to enjoy sacrifices
offered
When I was eighteen I flew away
into the city with full-grown wings
Bringing my parents along with
me Since then I have never come home
again
Changfeng Island fell into grass
like a heavy Buddha statue
I offered everything to it in the
temple of my body At last I saw the sign of my
redemption in the mid-autumn
moonlight
