我接到Texas State University发来的邮件：“The local programming competition was held successfully last Saturday. I would like to give you an update. Two teams of our camp students won the 1st place and the 3rd place, respectively. Two best Mexico teams won the 2nd and the 4th place. We beat them this year! It is clear that after training, the programming skills of our students have been improved. Thanks again for training our students this summer.”

我在暑期对Texas State University的学生讲学2周，每天上午讲课2.5小时，下午实验5小时。这次讲学，是我自主地系统讲学。而在上周末进行的传统德州程序设计友谊赛上他们最好的两支队伍居然获得第1和第3，而去年狂胜的墨西哥的学校，今年最好的两家是第2和第4。

我非常高兴，不仅是我的工作在短期内有成效，而且我的书籍英文稿经受了实战的考验。Texas State University此前是一家师范学院，在十多年前，才开始向研究型大学转型。所以，相对而言，这家学校的学生素质并不高，我的书稿在这样相对较弱的学校短期内取得这样好的效果，这就说明，我的“知识体系+思维方式”的实验教学方法是有效的。
