开心的父子两

I figured that I have been talking basketball too much this season.  It's time for an update with my main man Zeke and fatherhood. I never realized how much fun it would be to be a dad. All of my friends told me that once I had my first child that my life would change, but I did not expect it to be this fun. My son Zeke is now 7 months old. He is sitting up great and while he is not crawling yet, he is so close. I put his favorite toy just of his reach and he is so close to crawling to get it, but he just doesn't know how to get there.

It's pretty funny to see people react to him. Many people tell me that "he is the cutest 1 year old I've seen." I tell them, "Thanks, but he's only 7 months." No one believes me, because he is so big.

Having a son has made me a much more patient person. I wake up everyday not worrying about what I'm going to do next week or next month like I used to. I enjoy every day, because I learn something new about Zeke or Zeke does something new everyday.

Of course I think that he loves his dad (and mom too), but there is nothing better in the entire world than coming home from the gym and when I start saying "Zeker!!!!! Daddy's home!!!!!" my little man turns around and gives me the biggest smile in the world. No matter how bad I played or how many shots I missed that night, in that moment, all I care about is hugging my son and making him laugh. It's pretty incredible.

Zeke has already started to take swimming lessons. The teacher told my wife Heidi that he could be the next Michael Phelps!! HA HA!

My life has changed a bit as well. I used to go out to see movies and take my wife to dinner, but now my life revolves around playing basketball and Zeke. I enjoy the change.

Who would have thought?

我想说的是，这个赛季我们说了太多的关于比赛的事情了。现在是时候让我来谈谈我的齐克还有为人父的感受了。我从来没有想到成为一个父亲是如此的有趣。我所有的朋友都告诉我，一旦当我有了自己的第一个孩子之后，我的生命就将发生改变。可是我从来没有想过是如此的有趣。现在我的儿子齐克已经7个月了，当他不满地爬的时候可以很好的坐着。我把他喜爱的玩具都放在他伸手可及的地方，只要爬一下就可以拿到。可他只是还不知道怎么才能成功。

 看他被人逗是非常有趣的。很多人告诉我说：他就像是个已经1岁的孩子那么聪明伶俐。我告诉他们说：谢谢，但是他只有7个月。可是没有人相信我，因为他长得太快了，个头不小。

 有了孩子让我变得更加有耐心。每天我醒来的时候不再像以前一样去考虑下周或者下个月我要做些什么。我很享受每一天，因为我从齐克身上学到了很多新鲜的东西，或者说齐克的每一天都是崭新的。

 当然，我想他也爱他的爸爸和妈妈。当我从球场回来，一走进家门就会说：齐克！爸爸回来啦！我的小人儿转过身来，给我一个大大的笑脸。在这整个世界上，再也没有什么事情比这更美妙了。无论这个夜晚我打的多么的差劲或者我投失了多少个球，在那一刻，我唯一想要做的事情就是拥抱我的儿子，然后让他开心的笑。这种感觉真的令人难以置信。

 齐克已经开始学习游泳了。老师告诉我的妻子海蒂说，他会成为下一个菲尔普斯！哈哈！

 我的生活真的发生了很大的变化。以前我习惯了出门去看电影，或者和妻子共进晚餐。可是现在呢，我的全部生活就是围绕着打篮球和齐克转。我喜欢这样的转变。

 谁能想到呢？

我很快会回来。
