Well, we won an emotional game 5 in Houston against the Utah Jazz to put us up 3-2 in the best of seven series. The Jazz are a really good team and it has been a tough series. The strange part about this series is that the home team has won every game. We are 3-0 when playing in Houston and 0-2 in Utah. We play the Jazz in Salt Lake City on Thursday night. If we win one more game, we advance to the second round (which I have never done!).

The playoffs are played at a much higher intensity. Every play counts and could make the difference between winning and losing. When I played in Memphis, I didn't even win a playoff game in the three years that I went to the playoffs (0-12!!!!). Needless to say, I am excited about being ahead in the series 3-2.

The Jazz are such a physical team. With players like my old college teammate Carlos Boozer, as well as Mehmet Okur, and Matt Harpring, there is contact on every play and you must keep your composure and play strong.

I had a career high for playoff points with 15. I hit 5 three pointers (I was 5-7). The Jazz's plan is to let the person who is guarding me, either Andrei Kirilenko or Matt Harpring double team Yao everytime he catches the ball. They leave me wide open behind the three point arc. The best way to defeat this type of defense is for me to make open three pointers and I am happy I finally made them pay for leaving me open.

My Chinese media friends told me that the game was televised live in China.
