始建于东汉末年的三台寺，是陕西当地的著名寺院，清末毁于匪患，2013年重建，古色古香、恢弘气派，面积达148741平方米，是目前全国最大的五百罗汉堂。长廊大殿内供奉的佛像全部为缅甸进口的金丝楠木的树根雕塑而成，造型奇特、形态各异，世所罕见，叹未曾有，堪称秦岭“根雕佛国”，有游客评价“到西安看兵马俑，来华阳观五百罗汉”。

五百罗汉堂内的佛雕是一个视觉盛宴，最高的释迦牟尼雕像高6.6米，由黄金樟木树根整料雕刻而成。观音妙像庄严，巧夺天工。罗汉堂中的金丝楠木雕的327尊罗汉塑像，塑工精巧、惟妙惟肖，形态各异，是不可多得的佛教艺术珍品。五百罗汉堂是华阳景区生态旅游与佛教文化的完美融合，博大精深的佛教文化与美轮美奂的根雕艺术结合的杰作，所产生的观赏效果正如游客说的那样：“不看遗憾，看了震撼”。
