NARA上一个档案：“Chinese men showing Chinese woman the Standards Lab, 1979”，ID=221970310，只有一张图，下面的说明文字：“A group of eight scientists from the People's Republic of China visited SLAC during the week of January 15-19, 1979 as part of their overall visit to each of the large high energy physics laboratories in the United States. In this photo the delegation is touring SLAC's Standards Lab. (Stanford Linear Accelerator Center--Celebrating Forty Years: A Photo History, p. 55)”，所以，是1979年1月，中国的8名科学家访问斯坦福的SLAC直线加速器中心。网上搜了一下，中间的女科学家，好像是陈宏芳，网上只有她的老年照片，还是有相似处，陈的资料说她生于1938年，中国著名的粒子物理与核物理学家，1979年到美国作访问学者。陈宏芳后面戴眼镜的是周光召，她右后穿西装，罩黑大衣，头发梳的锃亮的是林宗棠，他是这次代表团团长，其他几人不认识。
