Our field trip to Burnaby Village Museum was super fun and
spectacular! Let me take some time and tell you all about it.
My most favourite part was going in the one-room schoolhouse.
I remember the teacher's name was Mrs. Chabaty.
Grades 1-2 sat in the first row of seats, grades
3-4 sat in another, 5-6 sat in a row and 7-8 sat in a row.
Another building I really enjoyed was the black-smith. The
women working there burned the metal in fire and bent it with a
hammer. Then she passed it around for all of us to see. Then she
burnt it again to get it hot and she twirled the hot metal with
some kind of tool. She dipped the hot metal in water and a whole
bunch of steam came out of the water pot! It was so
awesome!
A really really cool building was the Print Shop. We got to
see a super cool machine print a sentence on a skinny long paper
saying " If you don't grow your own vegetables, it helps to praise
the crop in your neighbour's garden." It came out super cool with a
bunny picture on the bottom.
Well, I hoped you liked my writing about Burnaby Village
Museum! Maybe you will go there one day!
