这一部分主要想赏析一下Robert Burn比较有代表性的几篇诗歌。Burns虽然仅仅活了37岁，但是却写了20年以上的诗歌，然而他的20多年的诗歌生涯几乎全是他的丰产起，下面欣赏他代表性的几篇诗歌。

赏析：《我的心儿在高原》

My Heart’s in the Highlands

MY heart’s in the Highlands, my heart is not here;

My heart’s in the highlands a chasing the deer;

Chasing the wild deer, and following the roe,

My heart’s in the Highlands, where I go－

Farewell to the Highlands, farewell to the North;

The birth place of Valour, the country of Worth;

Wherever I wander, wherever I rove,

The hills of the Highlands for ever I love－

Farwell to the mountains high cover’d with snow;

Farwell to the Straths and green vallies below;

Farwell to the forests and wild-hanging woods;

读后感（1）：这首诗作于1790年，Burns31岁的时候，应该说这个时候是Burns在诗歌创作上比较成熟的时期，My Heart’s in the Highlands这首诗就是这个时期的代表作之一，也流传深广。诗歌以饱满的热情歌颂了苏格兰地区的大好河山，表达了对于祖国、故土的深深的眷恋和热爱之情。正因为寄托了这样一种几乎是全人类所共有的感情，又用这么优美和婉转悠扬的方式来表达，自然在全世界特别是英语系国家里的广泛流产。

看到了王佐良和袁可嘉的这首诗的两个译本，个人认为，这两个译本都译得不太完美，个人更倾向于后者得翻译，今天本想尝试一下自己作一下翻译，未果。

赏析：《我爱的人象朵红红的玫瑰》

My Luve’s Like A Red, Red Rose

O, my Luve’s like a red, red rose

That’s newly sprung in June;

O, my Luve’s like the melodie,

That’s sweetly play’d in tune.

As fair art thou, my bonnie lass,

So deep in luve am I；

And I will luve thee still, my dear,

Till a’the seas gang dry,

Till a’the seas gang dry, my dear,

And the rocks melt wi’ the sun;

I will luve thee still,my dear,

While the sands o’life shall run.

And fare thee weel, my only Luve!

And fare thee weel a while!

读后感（2）：这诗习惯上被翻作“我的爱人像朵红红的玫瑰”，而我习惯地翻作“我爱的人像朵红红的玫瑰”，一来，我觉得“爱人”这个词在汉语里可能会有多重含义，比如说有“丈夫会妻子”的含义，而我觉得Burns这里所指的大约是“恋人”或者“honey”的意思，所以我宁愿用后者。

与前面一首“我的心儿在高原”一样，这首诗也是Burns的抒情诗里的名作，同样表现人类一种共通的感情。这首诗200多年以来一直是作为一首爱情名诗广泛被吟唱，据说“红玫瑰”与爱情之间的联系也源于这首诗，只不过对于这种说法我没有进行进一步的考证。读着Burns这优美的爱语，我想即使普通人都会产生强烈的感情冲击，何况是对于热恋中的情人们呢。

“诗人本是风流客”，这其实是对Burns很好的写照，Burns虽然一生虽短，但从他15岁第一次恋爱开始，一生有过很多情人和风流韵事，自然他也写出了不少情诗，他的处女作《呵！我爱过》就是一首情诗，其它著名的情诗还包括：《玛丽·莫里逊》、《天风来自四面八方》、《约翰·安特森，我的爱人》、《一次亲吻》、《高原的玛丽》、《走过麦田来》等等，可以说，诗人前期的创作基本上是围绕了爱情这条主线，这条线索甚至几乎贯穿了诗人的创作生涯。

赏析：《约翰，安德森我的爱人》

John Anderson, My Jo!
John Anderson my jo， John，

When we were first acquaint

Your locks were like the raven；

Your bonny brow was brent；

But now your brow is bald，John，

Your locks are like the snow，

But blessings on your frosty pow，

John Anderson my jo！

读后感（3）：这是一首让人很感动的爱情诗歌，让我们清楚的感觉到男女主人公之间爱情的根深。这首情诗是作者对爱人的爱，那之间的深刻感情是我们无法理解的。并且将人生的沧伤写出来了，但是他们间的爱永不退色！

赏析：《往昔的时光》

Auld Lang Syne

For auld lang syne,my dear,

For auld lang syne,

We’ll tak a cup o’kindness yet,

For auld lang syne!

Should auld acquaintance be forgot,

And never brought to mind?

Should auld acquaintance be forgot,

And auld lang syne?

读后感（4）：如果说Burns在全世界流传最广的一首诗，那么必定要数这首Auld Lang Syne《往昔的时光》，它作为一首诗在全世界范围内传颂，它作为一首歌在全世界范围内传颂，它同样随着《魂断蓝桥》这部电影的风靡而在全世界范围内传颂，作为比爱情更为广泛的一种感情，友谊在全世界的每一个角落里在被反复歌颂着，在毕业典礼上，在老朋友的聚会上，在离别之时，一遍又一遍地被吟诵，Auld Lang Syne已经变成了友谊的代名词，大家都同样在歌颂友谊地久天长。

赏析：《我爱若是美丁香》

Were My Love Yon Lilac Fair

were my Love yon lilac fair,

Wi’ purple blossoms to the spring,

And I a bird to shelter there,

When wearied on my little wing;

How I wad mourn when it was torn

By autumn wild and winter rude!

But I wad sing on wanton wing

When youthfu’ May its bloom renew’d.
