What Makes a Good Teacher?
I think there are several qualities that make a teacher
great.Academic knowledge is surely the numberone requirement.A good
teach should be not just an expert in his or her field but also a
diligent student,who tries to stay up-to-date.But
only knowledge is not enough.A good teacher must know how to teach
as well.Besides this,commitment,enthusiam,patience and love are
necessary,too.Good teachers put students first,helping them find
their ture potential and become confident.They inspire students
to work hard and praise them when they need
it.Theyare demanding with themselves as well as with students.They
try to improve themselves and expect students to do the
same.
I fondly remember one history teacher I had during my high school
days.She was very beautiful and kind,always smiling and talking
tenderly.She gave excellent lectures in class,but she also gave us
a lot of homework and quizzes.In spite of this,we still loved her
very much.Since she was not in very good health,we all studies hard
and got high scores in exams in order not to break her heart or
make her sad.When she was pregnant,we were even more careful not to
make her angry.Because of her,all the students in my class enjoyed
studying history.Having such a terrific teacher in the course of
learning is really wonderful and
unforgettable.
