第十四课    后元音[u:]外号： “小圆唇长乌音” 简称：“长乌音”

发音秘诀：

1.   这是个长元音，发这个音时舌身后缩，舌后部尽量向软颚抬起，这是后元音中舌位最高的一个。

2.   牙床接近全合。

3.   双唇收得极小而圆，但不发生摩擦，嘴形比[u]音要小，是后元音中双唇收得最小最圆的一个。

4.   双唇用力向前突出，有点像拉长了音说“乌”，但要注意，“乌”的口型较扁。

5.   常发这个音的除了字母“u”和“o”之外，还有字母组合“ue”、“oe”、“oo”、“ui”、“ou”、“ough”等。

6.   字母组合“ew”、“iew”、“eau”也常发这个音，但很多时候其中还包含了一个半元音/ j /在闪，如：“ few”、“review”、“beautiful”等。

7.   这个音一般出现在词中或词末，但很少出现在词首。

8.   特别说明：英语中最常出现的一个词----“to”在重读或强调时发/tu/，但在在弱读时（一般是在动词不定式前，其中动词是辅音开头时）发/tə/
