今天的工作很无聊我一直在打哈欠.
P.S.“catch flies”是句诙谐语，直译做“捕捉苍蝇”借喻打呵欠或者酣睡。这个俚语的构思出自打呵欠的样子，好像张开嘴巴捉苍蝇。
CUT IT CLOSE/FINE
I'm not spending my money on the waste thing now because
I will be cut my wallet close if bought anything.
p.s.“cut it
close/fine”一般指在时间或金钱方面扣得很紧，只刚刚够用。
CRY ONE’S HEART OUT

out.
我的男朋友不能在我的生日那天陪我讓我傷心不已.
p.s.“cry one's heart out”
字面意思是“把心哭出来了”，比喻痛哭不止，十分悲伤。
FRIGHTEN / SCARE THE PANTS OFF SOMEONE
The horroriable scene of dracula movie frightens the pants off me.
p.s.“frighten”和“scare” 都是惊吓的意思。“frighten/scare the pants off someone” 诙谐地描绘出把某人吓得魂飞魄散。
A DROP IN THE BUCKET / OCEAN
I'd like to buy a new car, but I'm afraid what I have saved is just a drop in the bucket. I'll have to save much more money.
我打算買一輛新車,但是我的積蓄只有這麽點,我必須開始攢錢.
P.S.一滴水，无论在水桶(bucket) 里或是在汪洋 (ocean)中，只是极微小的分量。因此，“a drop in the bucket/ocean” 也就解释为沧海一粟或九牛一毛。
