怎样成为成功的领导者(What makes a good leader?)

What makes a good leader?

Leaders have two main functions.One,they get the job done.Two,they keep the group together.The "job" is whatever the group is

organized to do.It might be a game,a contest,or a committee project.

Good leaders share certain qualities.Think about which of the following qualities you have already and which ones might work to develop.Good leaders:

1.Listen to the ideas,problems,and concerns

of group members.

Good leaders listen to the feelings behind

what is said as well as to the words.

2.Build a team from the members of the

group.

3.Think creatively to aid the goals of the

group.

They provide each member with information and

direction about the goals.As a rsult,group

members don't lose focus of what they are

trying to accomplish.

4.Organize activities,projects,and tasks of the

group.

5.Solve conflicts with the group.

6.Direct group decision making.

7.Participate with group members.

They do not consider themselves to be

more important than the rest of the

members.They are willing to pitch in and do the

work,too.

8.Show appreciation for group members.

They are aware that a group becomes strong

when individual members feel special and

wanted.

9.Manange time,money,and other resources for

the group.

They make sure all members share the workload

equally.They schedule what must be done and

when it must be done in order to meet group

goal.Also,good leaders are honest and are able

to account for money and other resources that

belong to the group.
