baby shower的时候家里人送了一张购书卡,我和老公用这张卡买了不少书,其中我最爱书就是这本<mother to son>和另外一本<father to son>.现在夏天已经四个月了,我经常还会拿出来读.
这本书比较袖珍,而且里面的内容非常简单易懂,却又意味深长.真的让我爱不释手.
书里的章节分为in the beginning婴儿期,the toddler years儿童期,sports体育运动,grade school小学,spirituality精神世界,middle school初中,girls女孩们,high school高中和leaving home离开家独立生活.非常全面.
因为体育运动在美国非常普及,所以书中专门提到sports.当然,让儿子正确处理男女关系也是非常重要的,于是提到了girls.高中毕业后孩子就离开父母独立生活了,所以最后不得不提到leaving home.
这套书还包括mother to daughter, father to daugher.建议大家如果有机会可以买来看看.

the more you talk to him, the sooner he'll talk to you.你对他说得越多,他会越早对你说话.

if you wait until he cries to pick him up, you're teaching him to cry.如果你等到他哭了才抱他,那你这是在教他哭.(美国的儿科医生不赞成孩子一哭就抱起来,因为这样会教会孩子他可以通过哭达到任何目的).
