你能拒绝一部IMDB评分达到9.4的电影吗？好吧，虽然投票的人还比较少，但目前令人咋舌的高分足以证明了这部电影以及这个系列的高人气。

 

    就总体来看，美国所产的系列动画片并没有日本动漫那么高的关注度，无论从数量到画面制作水准都和日产动漫有着不小的差距，但以《The Simpsons》为代表的一系列作品却依然拥有一大批的Fans，各中原因就是其生活化的情节以及巧妙的人物设定，以及在每一集里都会使你惊喜的小细节，这也是此类动画片作品长盛不衰的原因。而这部《Futurama》则保留了《The Simpsons》的原版制作人马，虽然目前只拍了5季，但受欢迎程度丝毫不亚于其前辈，而且其“大电影”也已经推出了两部，这里提到的“The Beast With A Billion Backs"就是第二部~

　　一部超级搞笑的科幻动画片，这部动画片是《辛普森一家》(The Simpsons)的制作班底制作的，并获得了多次艾美奖等殊荣。香港曾播出过,港译名为"乃出个未来"，共72集。最早在FOX播出的时候是5季，後来发行的DVD有4季的版本，同样是72集，只是划分不同而已。

Philip J. Fry
20世纪的失败者

 

弗莱,港译为阿乃。一个生活颓靡的美国青年。在1999年12月31日意外被冷冻一千年。

弗莱在未冷冻前曾离开父母和兄长与女友 Michelle 同居，但 Michelle 在他被冷冻之前不久抛弃了他。后来 Michelle 把自己冷冻并与弗莱再续前缘，但最后仍是把他抛弃了。

弗莱在剧中常因行为愚鲁而被取笑。另外他亦甚为好色，在整套剧中曾与至少六个女子及一个发热器发生关系。其中一次他意外而回到1947年，使自己名义上的祖父死于一次核试之中，且与自己的祖母共枕，因此成了自己实际上的祖父。但正因为这样，他在一场自宇宙大爆炸以来即持续不断的一场战争中扮演关键性的角色，并成为他被冷冻的主因。

Turanga Leela
独眼美女

 

莉拉，港译为莉娜或丽娜。一个只有一只眼睛及紫色头发的女子。当弗莱在3000年从冷冻管中被放出来时，他被带到当时是「人生指派官」的莉拉面前。弗莱不满自己被判定只能做快递员而逃走。后来莉拉虽然擒住他，但她发现自己也不喜欢这份工作，于是擅自辞职并和弗莱一起找他的远房侄孙，最后于弗莱这位侄孙的快递公司里担任机师。

剧集初期莉拉以为自己是外星人，但在后期作者揭露了她的身世──她其实属于一个经过基因突变的人种。她身上的变异比同类的突变人 (包括她的父母) 都要少，所以她的父母在她还是一个婴儿的时候把她送到地面的孤儿院，希望她在地上过较好的生活。

莉拉在剧中曾与两个男人 (其中一人是 25 星的大将军，另外一人是能不断变身的怪物) 发生关系，并曾和另外三个男人约会。但这些男人最后都被验证为没有诚意。唯一真心爱上莉拉的人是弗莱，但莉拉嫌他太蠢而不肯接受他。

Bender
最恶心最好色的机器人

 

班德，港译为傻机，是一个脾气坏的机器人。他建成时的功用是扭曲钢条，但当他发现这些钢条被用作自杀亭 (一个类似电话亭但是是让使用者自杀的设施) 时，他气得走到自杀亭自杀，结果在那里遇上误把自杀亭当是电话亭的弗莱。两人离开了自杀亭，后来和莉拉一起到弗莱的远房侄孙的快递公司工作。

班德常常骂人、喝酒 (他是以酒精驱动的) 和抽烟，且有偷窃的癖好。和人类相似，班德也颇好色，常在机器人夜总会出入。电路图对他来说就是色情书刊。

休伯特·法兹沃斯教授，香港电视版译为乃到应一应博士 (意指「与噩运碰个正着」) ，另外有音译为凡士活教授。他是弗莱的曾曾曾...侄孙 (两人约相差三十代)。是一个年届 160 高龄的发明家，并开设快递公司以作其财政后盾。他的任务很多时候都带有高度风险。

佐艾伯格,一只貌似龙虾的外星人，是公司的队医。虽然是医生，他对人类的生理结构一无所知，故常断症错误。 Zoidberg 也是非常愚蠢和贫穷的。他平时住在垃圾堆里。很多观众都认为 Zoidberg 是全剧最惹笑的角色。

Hermes Conrad
星际快递的CEO

 

赫米斯·康拉德，是快递公司的官僚，并负责其日常工作及财政。他是牙买加裔人。

Hermes 在剧中的形象是较为务实、锱铢必较和刻薄，但他的口头禅和高度的官僚作风成为剧中笑料的一大来源。

Amy Wong

负责维修快递船的见习工程师。她是华裔火星人，父母非常富有，在火星经营农庄。

虽然平时穿着运动服，但她基本上是全剧平均穿衣最少的人。她和剧中不少男角（包括弗莱）都有过不同程度的一夜情，但到后期便以一位中尉 Kif Kroker 为固定的男友。 Kif Kroker 的上司便是曾与莉拉发生关系的 25 星大将军。

宗教
在剧集中，基督教、犹太教、伊斯兰教、印度教及佛教五合为一，成为一个合一的联合教会。不过，亦有这些传统宗教的支派不满意这种合一而保持独立。例如：太空天主教就是当中的一种。它由一只蚚蜴人太空教宗(Crocodylus pontifex)所创立，并把其宗教建基于反对人类与机器人之间的恋爱这概念上。本故事其中有一集叫做“我与机器人约会”(I Dated a Robot)就有提及这宗教。在这一集里，主角Fry触犯了不能与机器人相恋的禁忌，与一个以现美籍华人影星刘玉玲为基础的机器人约会。

另外，现时美国著名的脱口秀女主持人奥普拉·温芙瑞亦成为了未来的膜拜对象，成为了一种新的宗教与巫毒教一样成为了当时的主流宗教。而在拉丁美洲的版本，奥普拉·温芙瑞则变成了当地的富豪Walter Mercado。

语言
在剧集中，法语被指为已变成一种已消亡的语言，所有本来讲法语的人都已改用英语。不过这剧集在法国播映时，已消亡的语言被改成为德语。

其他

在美国的制作概况
Futurama这名称来自1939年纽约世界博览会中，通用汽车用作展示未来科技的展馆名称。在这个展馆内，以真空管制成的电视亦首次亮相。这台电视机由Philo Farnsworth发明，而他的姓亦成为了这套电视剧的角色名称。
Futurama于1999年开播，霍士的高层对剧集期望值极高，希望Matt Groening能创造新的辛普森神话，但剧集还在筹划阶段时，霍士的人就和Groening闹出了很多矛盾。等到正式开播後，Futurama的播放时段经常被插播其他节目，没能拥有很固定的播放时间段，严重影响到了剧集的收视和口碑情况。虽然最后播映坚持到了第五季，但Futurama还是逃不过停播的命运，因为当时霍士已积压了可让整整一年播出的其他制作。剧集总计播出了72集，于2003年8月10日结束，但其实其制作只有四个季度，因为每个播放季度的节目都不能全数播放，以使不少制作好的节目都要留在下一个季度播放。
2003年DVD的发行改变了一切，凭借剧集本身过硬的质素和独特的体裁，Futurama成了一个大Cult，很多fans纷纷请愿要FOX恢复剧集播出，後者在另一部动画剧Family Guy上已经开了这一先例。DVD的热销也让FOX不得不对Futurama另眼相看，当下关于剧集会推出直接发行DVD电影版的传言甚嚣尘上。
另外，虽然Futurama未能在霍士电视继续播映，但它仍然在其他美国本土(如：Cartoon Network)及其他国家的电视台播映。

幕後花絮
在剧集选取配音员之时，曾为《辛普森一家(阿森一族)》配音的Phil Hartman本来获选为Zapp Brannigan配音，但在剧集开始制作以前突然离世。有人认为Billy West在为Zapp Brannigan配音时刻意模仿Phil Hartman为Troy McClure配音时的腔调，是向Phil Hartman致敬。另外，Fry的名字在制作之本来是Curtis，在这次事件后亦改为Philip，以怀念Phil Hartman。
