Yes. While most of us believe that money cannot buy happiness, many
studies show that people with higher incomes are happier on average
than people with lower incomes. The Easterline paradox long held
that, while this was true within countries, it is not true between
rich and poor countries. A recent study by Stevenson and Wolfers,
however, shows that people living in wealthier countries are indeed
happier on average than those living in poorer countries. No matter
how you look at it, money does indeed seem to buy happiness.
