Yesterday I displayed my poster board about a banned book at HCC. I
chatted with a girl classmate from China when we shared banned
books together. She is your age and studying at College Park. She
is polite and mature. She cooks food by herself to avoiding dining
out and saves money for her parents. She studies really hard and
she has a clear career goal for her future. Overall, she is a good
role model for any student of your age.
The banned book I did research on is The absolutely true
diary of a part time Indian. This book has been banned for 5
years in several high schools of USA due to the sexual languages
and violence. After I read this book, I like it. It is an
inspirational story. Maybe you could check out this book in your
school. This book is not suitable for high schoolers. You are
college students now and are
able to distinguish the bad from the good, so it
is a good book for you to read.
