What happened yesterday was so shocking! After a long cold Spring, Boston Marathon was a popular event for everybody here to go with kids. When my kids were young, we always took them to watch the events. In fact, two years ago, I volunteered at the finish line, was close to the explosion location. This year I thought to volunteer again since it was a very positive experience. However, since my house was undergoing remodeling, I was too busy to miss the sign-up deadline. I was so shocked when I received the company emails. There are more than 400 employees from our company who either participated or volunteer there. Fortunately, I got emails from our CEO today nobody got hurt. My manager took a day off and was in the explosion area. I checked with her immediately when I got the news. She said she's fine but she was there when the explosion happened and it's very loud. Life is so unpredictable, who can imagine such a tragedy could happen suddenly in a peaceful sunny day?! Please love your loved ones and treat everybody nicely.
