Dear String Parents and Families,
We are beginning a new wonderful year! I am so
excited to get started with our classes, which begin next
Wednesday, September 19th. Please note that we
are starting our schedule on WEEK B.
Every time your student has a sectional rehearsal, please be sure
that they bring their instrument and their book and/or folder to
their lesson with them. ALL STUDENTS should drop
off their instruments to the front of the stage in the cafeteria
first thing in the morning. When it is time for
your student to have their lesson, they should come directly to the
band room. Once a student is finished with their
lesson, they MUST report back to their Related Arts class (NO
INSTRUMENTS SHOULD BE DROPPED OFF TO THE CLASSROOM ON THE WAY BACK
TO CLASS!!) or to line up with their homeroom on the way to
lunch. Instruments taken to the cafeteria can be
stored on the stage for safety purposes.
Please utilize the CLES Orchestra website (www.clesorchestra.weebly.com).
Anything and everything orchestra related will be posted
there. I have already posted the weekly schedule
there for your convenience. For security
purposes, I will not post the names of the students in each
class. Your child's class can be found on their
folder. 3rd grade students are grouped by color
and 4th grade and 5th grade are only by
instrument. Please find their corresponding group
on the schedule and follow the lesson
timesaccordingly. There may be some confusion in
the beginning. The teachers in the teams and all
of the Related Arts teachers are very helpful. If
you have a specific concern with the schedule, please contact me
directly.
I would recommend highlighting their lesson times on their schedule
and posting it all over the house. This will help
your child remember and help you to remind your child to remember
to come to their scheduled class.
I am looking forward to getting started with this year's new young
string players!
