I am in a library to read my e mails as below:

All Howard County public schools are closed Monday, August 29, 2011.All evening activities in schools, both school-sponsored and community-sponsored, are canceled. This includes high school athletic practices and games.

Howard County school officials report that 27 schools are currently without power. BGE can offer no assurances that power will be restored to those areas by tomorrow morning given the massive power outages across the state.  Additionally county crews are still clearing debris and downed trees from roads and sidewalks.  As always, the safety of our students is our primary concern.
