小宝的第一次棒球比赛

最近小宝刚加入棒球队，每周忙的颠三倒四。体操本是小宝的主要体育项目，游泳，日本柔道，网球课是小宝的附加产业。那天经美国妈妈一鼓动，我又把小宝送到棒球队去了。孩子忙我就得忙，我这个车夫可不是喝稀饭的。

今天是小宝的第一次棒球比赛，我看了一会儿，觉得孩子们水平都一般呀。嘿嘿，除了我家小宝，很多孩子发球都不行。很多孩子比划半天，球棒就是碰不到球。但教练却高度赞扬孩子们。美国人鼓励孩子没边没沿，不信你看看吧。

小宝今天特忙。四点上钢琴课，下课后去打棒球，打完棒球又去上日本柔道，回家后还得写公文作业。这孩子好像越忙越乐呀，否则，我也不会让他这么忙。他主要是为体育而忙，和玩儿差不多，难怪他越忙越乐。

Hey Cubs,

OH MY GOODNESS!!!!  You all played like you were major league players!  What an exciting, fun time at the ballpark this evening.   You all hit the ball super well, you made some good plays in the field, and you listened well in the dugout.   I am extremely proud of you and glad that you all participated.  I had so much fun that I wish we were playing another game tomorrow night.  For those new to Coach Tim, you might have seen that I love getting super engaged with the game and with my super players.  Fortunately, Coach Jo Ellen provides the voice of reason. :-)     What a wonderful way to start our season!!

I am hopeful that we will get our practice field assignment by tomorrow evening.  Please consider playing catch at home on Wednesday or Thursday.  The only way we are going to improve is if we practice, practice, practice.  I need my Cubbies to focus on their skills because all of my Cubbies have good skills to offer.  I am excited to enjoy a great time with all of you this season, and this includes our wonderful Cub parents!  I loved (and really appreciate) all the help that was given tonight.  With 14 players, we need the help to be successful, and you all stepped up very nicely.  Thank you.

Get a good bath tonight and some excellent rest: you all deserve it!  Coach Tim will do the same, after 30 minutes in the hot-tub: Yahoo!.   I hope the excitement and fun was experienced by all family members tonight.  I love the outdoors, I love the game of baseball, I love the exciting plays,  I love the colors, sounds, and smells (hot dogs are yummy!), but most of all, I LOVE MY CUBS!
