第36届李阳疯狂英语广州贵宾营系列之(六)

将疯狂进行到底
In my experience, no language is
an easy language.
English is a language full of exceptions, slang, accents, and there are new words added to our dictionary every year. Americans may boast that it’s not a difficult language to learn, but I’ll be the first to admit it’s not an easy language to master, either. However nothing worth learning is easy. Otherwise who would bother to learn it?
There is a first step to
everything, and as silly, embarrassed, or crazy you may feel
learning English at first, you must trust that it is a step in the
right direction. A baby does not sprint at first attempt. No, she
wobbles, she wiggles its behind, and then she falls immediately
falls to the ground.
As a first-time Crazy English teacher, I have been consistently impressed, inspired, and motivated to see the persistence and stamina of the students as they work their way through the camp. I feel extremely lucky and proud have this opportunity to reflect on how we- not as Americans, not as Chinese, but as people- learn, and how we interact with one another. I take very seriously our responsibilities as Crazy English foreign teachers to provide you with sage advice and positive encouragement to guide you not only through this current opportunity, but all future opportunities as you sprint at full speed ahead.
I’m sure people have told you that
you are lucky to be here. You’re lucky to be provided with this
opportunity. But what you do with your luck- that’s your
responsibility. Be open, be bold. Don’t hold
back.
Every day I learn something new. In English, in Chinese, in life. It’s a long road, but I’m happy to be running on it.
