I went to Melbourne Zoo the other day.

The first thing I went to see was the Ring-Tailed lemur, their tail was white and black and very long. From a far, I watched them climb the trees, they looked very busy.

Bears. Bears are awesome and that’s why I went to see them next. I saw this one bear that wanted to swim. The river was very thin so a few strokes was all it needed to get to the other side. Then it would fall back and swim backstroke until it got to the other side. It kept doing this over and over again and he didn’t seem bored for a moment. It found it very fun.

Then I followed the trail to come across the lions. There were three lions, one of them sat on a rock, he like the dominant male, very powerful.

These animals was my favorite, it was the meerkat. They were adorable! They have very lovely round eyes and they would stand up with their litter paws in front of them and looking around. They’re movements were fast and swift.

The kangaroos came’s next, you could walk in the special and free area and interact with them. I saw a kangaroo play with a baby, it was harmless and friendly.

I continued on and stumbled upon the otters. One otter was lying on its back and everybody was saying: “It’s a boy!” Then came upon another otter, they started kissing, so I presumed it was a female. They did this for a while, and then they just went swimming.

I opened a beautiful colorful door to find I was in the butterfly house, it was very hot, but the butterflies need this kind of environment to survive, they were everywhere. If you wore brightly colored clothing, they would be attracted to your shirt.

I got tired so I went to drink a cup of coffee. After the break, I went to see orangutans. I found an amusing sight. Two orangutans was sitting by each other, the one at back was looking around, fascinated by everything. The one at the front just looked plain sad, it was eating with a frown on its face. After a while, the sad one turned back and looked like it was talking to the other one, then  sad one crawled into the other one’s lap and started crying, I think. The other one just kept comforting it, and then it stopped and continued eating again.

I enjoyed going to the zoo. I saw lots of animals and had lots of fun. I think something interesting happens in the zoo everyday, but no matter what. I think the animals will always be happy, and that’s all that really matters.
