<Grand Hotels>: Could you please introduce the development plan of your hotel group in China in the coming years to our readers?
Miss Foo-Tiplady: Mandar in Or iental Hotel Guangzhou with 286 guest rooms is scheduled to open in 2012. And the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Pudong, Shanghai, located at the Lujiazui Finance and Trade Zone, featuring 362 guest rooms and 110 service apartments is scheduled to open in the year of 2013. It’s constructed by China State Shipbuilding Corporation and Shanghai Rui Ming Real Estate Development Co., Ltd., and managed by Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group. The Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Beijing is also under construction, we haven’t yet confirmed its launch date for now.
<Grand Hotels>: How do you plan to make your hotel stand out against the heated competition in the hospitality industry?
Miss Foo-Tiplady: We’re proud of our high standards and quality service. And the fusion of the Oriental culture and local customs presented by hotels under our group, while inherently featuring diversity, is the highlight of our group. I believe we’ll observe a growing number of loyal customers to our hotel brand.
<Grand Hotels>: Compared to other international hotel groups, the development of Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group in China is relatively slower. What do you think of the development of your hotel group?
Miss Foo-Tiplady: We keep a high standard of our choices for hotels: dominant location and outstanding partners. Slow work yields fine works.
东方代表的是瓷器、丝绸、服务,是历史的沉淀,高雅而迷人。文华东方的名称来源于香港文华酒店和曼谷东方酒店名称的组合,由此揭开了高贵、优质、奢华的酒店品牌。该品牌是非常了解、崇敬东方文化的西方人创建。她是中西的完美结合,有着深厚的文华背景及历史底蕴。
《大酒店》:符小姐,请向我们读者介绍下,贵酒店集团今后几年在中国的发展计划。
符小姐:广州文华东方酒店将于2012年开业,该酒店有286间房。上海浦东的文华东方酒店位于陆家嘴金融贸易区,有3 6 2间客房及1 1 0间酒店式公寓。她是由上海瑞明置业有限公司及船舶工业公司建造,委托文华东方酒店集团管理,将于2013年开业。北京的文华东方酒店的建设已经开始,但我们还没有确认该项目的开业时间。
《大酒店》:酒店的竞争异常激烈,您觉得贵酒店如何在众多酒店中脱颖而出?
符小姐: 我们的品质毋庸置疑,服务周到而贴心。每家酒店都有每个地方的特异性,反映当地历史文化同时又融入了东方文化,这是我们一贯秉承的亮点也是我们最为突出的特色。我相信, 做好自己的品牌,客人将源源不断。
《大酒店》:贵酒店集团和其他国际品牌的酒店集团相比,发展的速度相对较缓慢,您是如何看待的?
符小姐:我们挑选酒店有自己的体系标准:要有优越的地理位置、优秀的合作伙伴。相信慢工出细活。
