阿布扎比这个名字，最近因两桩体育新闻而家喻户晓。先是阿布扎比发展投资联合集团(ADUG) 在阿布扎比八星皇宫酒店签下天价协议，收购了曼城俱乐部——英超的百年豪门劲旅。随后F1世界冠军莱科宁又前往阿布扎比访问，在宫殿酒店举行了发布会。接踵而来的消息不仅让阿布扎比这个来自中东的神秘酋长国一时间尽人皆知，也让传奇般的八星级酒店——宫殿酒店成为人们津津乐道的话题。

皇宫改建的酒店

阿布扎比八星皇宫酒店是世上唯一的八星级酒店，一座从沙漠中拔地而起的奇迹。走进这个黄金和大理石堆成的宏伟宫殿，你会以为来到了《一千零一夜》中的阿拉伯皇宫。而宫殿酒店确实有童话般的神奇，例如动动手指就能控制整个房间，或者足不出户就能购买商品送货上门。太多的不可思议，让宫殿酒店成为了阿拉伯半岛最令人向往的旅游胜地之一。

阿布扎比八星皇宫酒店是典型的阿拉伯皇宫式建筑，从主楼到附属建筑，宽度延绵达一公里，展示着阿拉伯文明独有的富丽堂皇。穹顶是阿拉伯建筑特有的标志，一般的建筑会由一个大穹顶和数个小穹顶组成。而宫殿酒店拥有令人吃惊的114个穹顶，全部由马赛克砌成，格外华丽庄严。其中最大的穹顶直径可达42米，表面镀银，并在顶端装饰了黄金。酒店外墙采用了带有沙粒质感的材料，透着中东沙漠特有的五彩缤纷，为这幢气势宏伟的建筑披上了浓郁阿拉伯风情的外衣。酒店大门是一座意大利石材砌成的凯旋门，足有40米高。通过长达数百米的坡道，便可直抵酒店大厅，酒店的内部装饰同样令人惊艳。顶部所悬挂的1002盏施华洛世奇水晶枝形吊灯，璀璨夺目光芒让人瞠目结舌。除了最好的大理石和马赛克，以及价值不菲的油画装饰，连每一块指示牌都金光熠熠，让这座酒店成为了神话中才有的“黄金宫”。

Abu Dhabi has recently made headlines for the takeover of Manchester City by the Abu Dhabi United Group of Development and Investment (ADUG) and Kimi Raikkonen of Ferrari who answered questions at a press conference held at The Emirates Palace about the Abu Dhabi Etihad Airways F1 Grand Prix 2009. These have raised Abu Dhabi’s profile globally. The 8-star Emirates Palace has also become a hot topic worldwide.

Hotel Housed in a Palace

Abu Dhabi’s Emirates Palace is the world’s only 8-star hotel. Built in the style of a majestic palace rising from the sand, the hotel features a façade whose colors represent different sand nuances found in the Arabian Desert. The Emirates Palace features a magnificent collection of 1002 chandeliers made with Swarovski’s premier Strauss crystals.
