JW Marriott Hotel Shanghai at
Tomorrow Square management team bought smiles to the young faces of
patients in the heart surgery ward at the Shanghai Children’s
Medical Centre yesterday with the donation of more than 100
Christmas Griffin Bears. This is the fifth year in a row that the
hotel has participated in this event as part of Marriott
International Hotels “Spirit to Serve the Community”
campaign.
Each charity Griffin Bear was
purchased by guests and corporate clients of the hotel during the
Christmas festive season, creating a magnificent Griffin Bear tree
on the 38th Floor, Lobby Lounge of JW Marriott Hotel
Shanghai at Tomorrow Square.
Hosted by the Chief Surgeon of
Shanghai Children’s Medical Centre Dr. Yeming Wu, more than 20
hotel management and staff handed over the bears at an official
donation ceremony which was held in the Department of Cardiology.
Many of the children had just undergone major surgery earlier that
day and were delighted to receive a new toy.
JW Marriott Hotel Shanghai at
Tomorrow Square, hotel manager, Peter Pan comments: “This is just
one way that hotel can do something for the local community and
hotel actively encourage all of the guests, clients and staff to
participate in this annual event”.
