上海展讯豪生酒店慈善活动

Time to Do Charity

教育就是改变，教育是消除贫困的催化剂。马里兰大学史密斯商学院联合知名企业在上海展讯豪生酒店举办了慈善图书馆计划捐赠活动。此计划旨在为中国和越南的贫困学校和孤儿院捐赠图书，捐建图书馆，与当地NGO建立合作关系。该计划的近期目标令人瞩目：计划到2008年年底，在亚洲地区的孤儿院和乡村小学捐建至少80座图书馆。晚会现场爱心涌动，大家纷纷慷慨解囊。

Education means change. Education is the catalyst for alleviating poverty. A fundraising effort, sponsored by the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland together with corporate sponsors, was held at Howard Johnson Hotel Zhangjiang Shanghai earlier to raise money for The Library Project, a non-profit organization that donates books and libraries to underserved schools and orphanages in China and Vietnam, and builds partnership with local non-government organizations, or NGOs. The Project has an ambitious short-term objective to have built at least 80 libraries for orphan’s homes and primary schools in Asia’s rural areas by 2008 with the donations. The Howard Johnson Hotel Zhangjiang Shanghai charity event was overflowing with love and warmth, thanks to the generous donors.
