     从孩提时代起,我的生活就始终在异国他乡的旅居生活中度过。因此现在对我来说,来到中国,继续这样的旅居生活,就一点也不稀奇了。
 
     多年来,我一直深深地被我所工作生活的酒店所吸引,着迷于它们每一个独特的环境,设计以及它所营造的氛围。如果我没有学习和致力于酒店行业,那么空间设计也许是我会为之努力的道路。
 
     对我来说,旅行的意义在于:旅行使得我身处不同文化中,体验每一个不同地域之间的文化差异,而这正是我对于空间设计产生兴趣的最大 原动力。
 
     创造一个体验的空间,需要所有感官全情投入,平衡视觉,听觉,嗅觉以及触感。这些感觉作为我们生活中重要的组成部分,多年来被视为空间品评的标准并且获得广泛认可。特别在酒店以及餐厅的设计中,这些感官体验更是公认的标准:包括声音和香氛,这些都渗透在我们的日常生活中。

I always had traveling in my life being the child of an expatriate and raised in a foreign country it is no surprise that I have continued on this course and find myself in China.
 
I have always been interested in the design of mood and ambiance which I have integrated into properties I have worked in throughout the years. It is this path that I would most likely have followed had I not studied and focused purely on hotels and the hospitality industry.
 
The combination of travel, being exposed to different cultures and experiencing the different intricacies each continent and culture has been the motivating force behind my interest in mood creation.
 
Creating a mood moment by involving all the senses, balancing what we see, hear, smell and touch has been used for many years and is recognized as being an integral part of our lives, especially in the hotel and restaurant context there is formal recognition of this and a stronger move to integrate as much of the sensual experience, sound and fragrance in particular, into our daily lives.
