柯金德先生，金茂三亚希尔顿大酒店总经理
Mr. Dirk De Cuyper, General Manager of Hilton Sanya Resort & Spa

    来自比利时的柯金德先生毕业于布鲁塞尔伊拉兹马斯大学，获酒店管理专业学位，可以流利地驾驭四种语言（荷兰语、法语、英语和德语）并熟悉另外两种语言（印尼语/马来语和泰语）。

    柯金德先生已在希尔顿国际集团工作了十五年，对希尔顿品牌有着深刻的见解，对亚洲和欧洲主要客源市场也有很深厚和广泛的了解。在出任金茂三亚希尔顿大酒店总经理之前，柯金德先生曾担任了四年泰国华欣希尔顿度假酒店总经理，期间他成功地将这个泰国度假村改造成为一个深受国际度假游客欢迎的度假胜地，并创办了“华欣爵士音乐节”。该音乐节自2002年以来便成为了泰国华欣地区最盛大的娱乐活动，为期三天的音乐盛事每年吸引着35,000多名游客前来。

    业余时间，柯金德先生兴趣广泛，崇尚丰富多样的高品质生活体验：享受美食、阅读历史和传奇类书籍、探询那些名不见经传却精致独特的小酒店。但是，柯先生更津津乐道的却是他的一个梦想：把对F1赛事的喜爱变成实践、亲身参与其中。F1讲求的不仅仅是单纯的速度，更要求紧密的团队协作和随机应变的策略；这和管理酒店有异曲同工之处。而他最喜爱和支持的车队非McLaren Mercedes莫属。

Mr. Dirk De Cuyper comes from Belgium, a graduate from the Brussels Erasmus University with a qualification in Hotel Management.  He is fluent in four languages (Dutch, French, English, German) and conversant in two (Bahasa Indonesia/Malay and Thai).

With a career spanning fifteen years at Hilton International, Dirk has a keen understanding of the Hilton brand and an extensive knowledge of the major Asian and European source markets.  Prior to his appointment as General Manager of Hilton Sanya Resort & Spa, Dirk served as General Manager of Hilton Hua Hin Resort & Spa for four years, during which time he was instrumental in transforming the Thai resort into a haven for international holidaymakers and launching the “Hua Hin Jazz Festival”, which is a mainstay of entertainment in Hua Hin since 2002, and now attracts more than 35,000 people annually during the three-day event.

As for spare time, Dirk has extensive hobbies to fulfill the life, from enjoying fine dining, reading history and faction books (combination of facts and fiction) to exploring small boutique resorts and hotels.  However, what he mentions most is his dream to convert one day his F1 hobby into a more active one.  F1 requests not only the speed, but also close team work and flexible tactics; something a little bit similar to running a hotel.  And his favourite F1 team is no one else but McLaren Mercedes.
