This October, The Westin Bund Center Shanghai (formerly known as The Westin Shanghai) will unveil its much-anticipated Grand Tower that will bring state-of-the-art amenities, innovative and personalized services to Shanghai’s ultra-posh historic waterfront – the Bund.

The former residence tower underwent an extensive refurbishment and was transformed into 269 plush rooms and suites with areas ranging from 45 – 72 square meters, giving the hotel a total of 570 amazing rooms.  Along with the guestrooms, the 18 new Executive Suites are designed to provide therapeutic retreats where guests can rebound from the rigors of the road and allow them to “be at their best”.  In addition, a lavish Emperor Suite of more than 250 square meters offers the ultimate in pampering as well as provides spectacular sweeping vistas of the glorious Huangpu River and the futuristic skyscrapers in Pudong.

Using a light earthy tone in its décor, the rooms in the Grand Tower are sleek and airy.  Each is adorned with full-sized modern and chic Chinese art pieces as well as equipped with innovative yet user-friendly technology that enables guests to connect to WiFi or cable internet, order movies and review their bills on flat-screen LCD TV (a 3rd set of LCD TV is installed in the bathroom of all Executive Suites), listen to the tunes of their choice plugged into the MP3-friendly audio-visual system, which also offers a massive renewal-themed music database specially selected by The Westin.  Other familiar comforts include the Westin signature Heavenly Bed, DVD player, large work desk, wireless internet access, broadband, facsimile machine, and a spacious bathroom that comes with an oversized deep soaking tub as well as a separate stall featuring the popular Rainforest showerhead that provide guests with instant relaxation and rejuvenation……
