如果有人要你到一个40度的房间锻炼身体你会说什么呢?你大概会犹豫不决。如果有人告诉你你将在这样的房间持续90分钟做26个不同的姿态,你或许会想我能做得到吗?其实世界上每天都有很多的人在做。没有剧烈的运动,没有举重,只是26个有着明确顺序的姿态。中国正在迅速的认识到这个来自美国出生于印度的瑜伽大师发明的这个独特的锻炼形式和方法。这个独特的形式是以他的名字命名的并且姿态的顺序是获得了版权的。
来自台湾的世界瑜伽锦标赛冠军莫慧萍是一个经比克拉姆授权了的瑜伽老师,她说:"第一次在中国教授热瑜伽的时候,我在加热瑜伽馆的时候遇到了麻烦。学生觉得加热房间的概念很有趣但是直到房间的度数达到35度他们才真正完全体会到此系统的作用。在这种温度下,结合比克拉姆的26种姿态顺序,其结果是很惊人的。下课后不需要语言,我学生的脸上已经说明了一切"下课后会有一种成就甚至是友爱的感觉,每个人都出很多汗,课前的紧张疲劳全都一扫而光了......

Bikram teacher says, "the first time Itaught a Bikram hot yoga
class in China I had trouble getting the studio
heated. Students thought the heated room concept
was interesting but they didn't feel the full effects of the system
until I got the temperature up to about 35 degrees. At this
temperature, combined with Bikram's 26 posture sequence the results
were astounding. There is no need for words after class, the faces
of my students says it all." After class there is
a feeling of accomplishment even camaraderie, everyone is
perspiring and preclass tensions and jitters have all but melted
away......
