蝴蝶之吻(BUTTERFLY KISSES)

拨通大洋彼岸的电话。隔着千重山万重水和12个小时的时差，爸爸的声音却仍然亲切。照例第一句就是“父亲节快乐”，即使没有当着他的面，却仍然免不了羞涩面红:因为知道爸爸肯定要笑说我越来越“西化”，净过一些鬼佬节日，尽管我相信他心里比蜜还甜。嘿嘿。其实，爸爸，我不过想找些“籍口”去间接表达我对你的爱。
在我的这个小屋里，贴一曲他听不懂的英文歌。

Carlisle)在他的女儿十六岁生日前夕，特别为女儿谱写的。
所谓的Butterfly
Kiss是当大人和小孩以脸部亲昵地靠在一起时，其中一人的眼睫毛，随着眼睛的眨动，轻轻的刷拂在另外一人的脸颊上，或者是两个人额头面对面的凑在一起，双方的睫毛互相刷拂，那种感觉，就好像是轻柔的蝴蝶在“亲吻”着你。
这首歌是卡莱欧在女儿生日前夕，突然惊觉女儿已经成长，不要再过多久，就即将就要远走高飞，离家去开创自己的人生。许多甜蜜的回忆，还有自己过去曾经错过、以及将来不会再拥有的机会，都浮现在他脑海，因此他萌生了这首歌的灵感。原本他并没有想要发表，只想把歌曲保留作送给女儿的礼物，但是在好友们的鼓励之下，才决定推出录音。本歌将一个父亲对女儿的爱写得感人致极。《旧金山纪事》报曾报导，有边开车边听此歌的听众把车子停到路边，泣不成声……

在这首歌曲里面，卡莱欧回忆起女儿小的时候，他经常陪着女儿做睡前的祷告，同时感谢着上帝赐给他这许多生命中的欢乐，特别是祈祷过后，父女两人亲密的“蝶吻”。女儿头一次骑马的时候，要求父亲陪在旁边的可爱表情；头一次下厨做蛋糕，成品的样子虽然不好看，却也是难忘的回忆。后来，女儿十六岁了，出落得越来越像母亲，也逐渐开始用香水和化妆品。不过，这个时候的女儿，已经不好意思再和从前一样，跟父亲靠得那么紧了，女儿说，“爸爸，你知道我还是一样的爱你，可是，假如你不介意，这次我想只亲吻你的脸颊。”他知道，女儿已经长大，即将离巢单飞。如今，他们来到了另外一个新的阶段：今天，女儿就要结婚了，他看着穿上礼服的女儿，心中无比的感慨，他是否就要永远失去女儿了呢？女儿强作镇定的安慰父亲，再度给他“蝶吻”，同时请爸爸不要哭，陪她走上圣坛，因为是时候了。回首过往、瞻望未来，他相信自己必定曾经做过一些好事，才配拥有女儿的爱，以及那些令人难忘的“蝶吻”。生命，就是这样，这就是爱，你还能要求什么呢？虽然他知道自己必须放手，但他将永远记得这些年来每个早晨的拥抱，还有那些“蝶吻”。
