想当初，比利时人罗格盛赞的北京奥运会吉祥物福娃的英文译名“Friendlies”由于在音、形、义三方面存在缺陷而饱受质疑，最终更改为“Fuwa”，这说明罗格的英语水平并不出众。由此，罗格绞尽脑汁想出的北京奥运评价语“exceptional”并非无懈可击，甚至给人一种褒贬不一、模棱两可的感觉。因此，本人觉得国人把“exceptional”理解成“无与伦比”值得商榷。
