Susan: Hi, Alice. It’s you. Nice to see you here.

Alice: Oh, Susan. Nice to see you again.

Susan: You look much more beautiful and healthy.

Alice: Really, thank you. You too. Are you here for the English corner?

Susan: Yes. My mother wanted me to learn more English.

Alice: Just like my Mum. They are always talking too much.

Susan: Ok. Forget it. Look at your watch. It's so nice.

Alice: That's from my mother as a birthday present.

Susan: You have a great mother. She loves you, not just talking.

Alice: Sure. I love her very much. But I don't like her day-and-night words.

Susan: Neither do I. But what can we do?

Tom: Hi, you two. What are you talking about?

Alice: Hi, Tom. We're talking about mothers.

Tom: My mother ... help me ... hope me ...good at English.

Susan: Your English is really terrible.

Tom: But, it's not my problem.

Alice: Why?

Tom: My mother and my father don’t know English.

Susan: But you learn English from the teacher, not your mother and father.

Tom: My English teacher doesn’t love me.

Alice: Because you don’t love English.

Tom: No, I hate English and my English teacher!

Susan: Then why do you come to the English corner?

Tom: To find a friend to help me with my English homework.

Alice: You pay for your English homework?

Tom: Yes, one yuan one page.

Alice and Susan: Good bye and Good luck, Tom.

Frank: Hi, everybody.

Alice and Susan: Hi, Frank.

Frank: Let's come here and take a picture together.

Tom: Oh. Let's take a picture.

Frank: Look at me and say "cheese".

Tom: Why say "cheese"?

Alice: Say "cheese". You have to open your mouth and show your teeth.

Susan: You are right. Everybody is happy when they take a photo

Frank: We Chinese can say "茄子”.

Tom: "茄子”.

Alice: Smiling is the most beautiful language in the world.

Frank: Do other animals smile?

Susan: I don't think so. If a cat smiles at night when you sleep, what do you think?

Alice: That will be terrible.

Frank: Sorry, I forget to ask your name.

Alice: It is Susan, one of my classmates. She is the top student in our class.

Frank: Hi, Susan. How are you?

Susan: Fine, thank you.

Frank: What is in your hands, Alice?

Alice: A novel.

Susan: She wants to be a writer in the future.

Tom and Frank: Really?

Susan: You may read her blog. It is very interesting.

Frank: Wish that you can be a famous writer.

Tom: Like the writer of "Harry Potter".

Alice: But I have to spend much time on my homework. You know, we have too much homework every day.

Tom: So do I.

Frank: We have not so much homework. But my mother asks me to attend different learning groups.

Alice: What kinds of groups?

Frank: Like English group, Chinese writing group, maths group...

Tom, Alice and Susan: Wo!

Frank: even boxing exercise.

Tom: Perhaps you are not strong enough.

Frank: How can I be strong if I have so many things to do every day?

Tom: Can you help me with my English homework?

Frank: I have too many things to do.                                                                                   

Tom: I pay. I pay.

Alice: Your English is much better now.

Tom: Really?

Alice and Susan: Yeah. Keep coming to English corner.

Frank: Then you will find one to help you with your homework.

Tom: Who?

Frank: Yourself.

Alice and Susan: God help those who help themselves.
