It is very pleased to hear from you. How is everything going with you? I am writing this letter in order to thank you for writing me a email to congratulate me.
It is very fortunate for me to win this translation contest and I really appreciate your congratulation. As for translation, I would like to offer some of my suggestions to you. To begin with, you are supposed to read books about the theory of translation as many as you can, for these books can be exceeding helpful for your study on translation. Besides, as an old saying goes, “Practice makes perfect” and you should seize every chance to translate articles and therefore, your skills on translation will inevitably improve.
Again, thanks for your letter to congratulate me and I am looking forward to your reply.

本次英语二Part A部分和去年完全不同，又回归了信件的考察。这深刻的体现了考研英语命题组“反模板，反押题”的规则。而信件的写作中，又以建议信的难度最大。如何提建议，同时将建议和题目吻合，对于只单纯背了模板的考生来说是一件十分困难的事情。此次信件是需要写回信，同时是给朋友写，因此在开头应该有寒暄。其次，信的要点在于要感谢别人对于赢得比赛的恭喜，以及要给朋友提一些关于翻译的建议。这些建议可以是多阅读和翻译相关的书籍，以及平时多练习翻译。与此同时，建议提出时一定要分点写，这样方便阅卷老师更好的理解文章并且给分。

The pie chart obviously
reveals a percentage concerning students’ purposes of traveling in
a certain university. According to the chart, enjoying the scenery
has the largest proportion, accounting for 37%, while releasing
pressure, making friends, fostering the ability of independence and
others occupy 33%, 9% 6% and 15% respectively.
Conspicuous are the
impacts of the phenomenon above and I would like to explore the
following aspects. Foe one thing, by no means can we deny that
having a trip in spare time is to broadening one’s horizons what
water is to fish, the importance of which can never be ignored.
According to a recent study conducted by officials, every 7 out of
10 people responding to the questionnaire claimed that they did
have learnt a lot from their journeys. For another, visiting
another city or country also makes it possible for the local
culture to be appraised and appreciated by the
tourists.
From my perspective, it
is high time that the authorities concerned promoted the
development of tourism, let us say, by bettering the natural
environment, opening up more scenic spots and optimizing the
transportation system. Only in this way can people, not only
students but also others, enjoy a pleasant journey.
