今日整理邮箱，看到了两年以前曾经将好友的一篇中文诗翻译成了英文诗。现在读来，觉得还算相得益彰。兹贴出，留作纪念。

好友佳作：

天朗气清，惠风和畅，名园新筑，万艳争春。
远招近揖，以期群贤毕至，投辖攀辕，乐观俊士丛集。
游目骋怀，寄逸情于天上，清芬一掬，抒韵思于樽前。
傍花依水，醉飞吟盏，纵一时之兴会，
广陵潮涌，扬子波生，传千古之佳谈。
 
鄙人英译：

In the clear weather,
  Gentle spring breezes stir;
 
Close to the newly-built lobby,
  Flowers are vying with each other in beauty.
 
Righ here is a happy and joyful fest ,
  To respectfully recieve the distinguished guests.
 
For our treasured friendship, this celebaration
  Takes with every person's ardent passion.
 
Cheerful chatting,
  Goblets flashing ---  
 
In this festival a grand banquet behaves,
  The nice story is spreaded by ever-rolling Yangtse waves.
