Subject: 怎么老是我?
Dear Huanwen:
Today, I heard from Shen Zhijia of Colorado who found my name via Google about my recent visit to China. She got the impression that I was at the invitation of a certain Guang Dong Water Power Professional Technical Institute. This reminded me of my big neglect in mentioning your kind invitation. The lacunae could imply that I was invited by someone else or was visiting China on my own. Is it still possible to add that an acknowledgement thanking you and SYU for hosting me such as “盛蒙中山大学程焕文博士邀请……”or some more details of the institutions that invited me. This should clear the confusions and show my gratefulness in a small way. Thanks for any things you can do for me. Please pardon me for the inexcusable negligence.
With best regards, as always
Karl

Dear Karl: I have made some changes in the lacunae, please check the BLUE words. If you agree I will inform of the editor about this change. In addition, Zhijia is a good friend of mine as well. Best regards, Huanwen

Dear Huanwen: It’s OK. Might we, however,
in
(美国加州大学圣地亚哥分校图书馆)use the form
“圣地牙哥” that is preferred
by local Chinese newspapers in San Diego? Thanks.
