昨天继续讲解课文，上次和同学们说了，课文最后一段的舒曼的两个曲子不光是同一首歌的两部分，与课文题目呼应，其实分别代表女儿的两种心境：恳求的孩子和非常满足。这次继续讨论，我让学生用plead with sb (not)to do sth和perfected contented with造句，同学们说The daughter pleaded with the mother not to control her/force her to play the piano/to become a prodigy, 或pleaded with the mother to let her make her own decision/to be on her own/live her own life/do whatever she liked. The daughter was perfected contented with the mother's love/her life/the reconciliation/having practised playing the piano. 我对学生说，可以造出很多句子。其实母亲又何尝不是恳求女儿追逐梦想、练钢琴、不浪费天分？所以也可以说是Pleading Mother。母亲在临终前对女儿的选择的生活也是挺满足的吧。这样讲解，含义就深了。
