西城男孩在这么多年的流行音乐演唱中之所以能保持最受欢迎的男声组合之一，重要的是他们不仅有良好的唱功、英俊的外貌，他们的音乐里还散发着轻松自然、清新的气息以及满满的活力和朝气。西城男孩是音乐史上唯一三次赢得年度最佳唱片殊荣的音乐团体，他们也成功的举办了四次的巡演，在三百万的歌迷面前演出，而每一次的演唱会门票都是销售一空，从此也奠定了他们成为史上最畅销的巡演乐队。此外，西城男孩的专辑，在全球销售超过三千四百万张，单单是在英国，便已经荣获五张超白金唱片。他们也在英国创造了12首冠军单曲的音乐历史纪录，并且共获颁两座全英音乐大奖、一座MTV欧洲音乐大奖、以及六项爱尔兰音乐大奖（连续四年荣获最佳流行艺人大奖）！西城男孩同时也还因为一首现场版的歌曲Flying Without Wings，获得首度的网络下载榜冠军的头衔。

   我比较喜欢西城男孩《I lay my love on you 》这首歌，每次听的时候都会有不同的感受。于是工作之余写下了听《I lay my love on you 》的一些感受与想法，在这里与大家分享分享。

A段：

   西城男孩在演唱这首歌的第一段时，非常注重吐字的语气，与音乐节奏相互配合细腻的过程。，好像讲故事娓娓道来的感觉。尤其使在：yeach、hart这两个词，运用了气声演唱的方式，显得非常亲切且又动人。演唱声音部分，人声乐器与伴奏乐器的强弱，轻松自然地融合在一起。形成了人声器乐二部合一的艺术表现力。
A1段：

   也就是前面的重复乐段，在音乐节奏上明显地有了音量加强的变化，西城男孩在演唱上也做到了这一点，突出地在声音上强调节奏力度，而不再单一的像A段那样注重语言、语气的表现。而是从演唱到音乐都形成了重复乐段加强递进的感觉，非常吻合。Calling中加进了哭腔的声音，突出与众不同的感觉，非常好。
B段：

“I lay my love on you ”这部分由于齐唱的进入，让听众在音乐和演唱上，有更加递进的感觉，充分体现了演唱段落的清晰和细腻。但美中不足的是“and walk right through”这个乐句中，音乐节奏 x x x ｜  x x x更加强调第2、4的重拍，也就是说2、4拍要明显地强于第1、3拍。演唱上要有荡回来的反拍是重拍的感觉，我觉得他们在这一部分还可以表现的更好。
A2段：

everytime i breathe i feel brand new
you open up my heart

音乐节奏开始转到中速，配器的音量已经不太强了，西城男孩在演唱“far 、far”的换气时，恰当好处地将音乐表现的很有味道。

i never knew that love could fell so good
like once in a lifetime

这个乐段在音乐结构上属于插部，有转调的出现，音乐与演唱上完全慢下来、弱下来了。是为了用前面的“弱”突出后面的“强”，从而在音乐上形成鲜明对比做好铺垫。

 B 1段：

虽然词 i lay my love on you没有变，但在演唱上有一些细微的变化，比如yeah上加转音，区别于前面词同唱不同的演唱变化。但是and walk right through as 2、4重拍唱得不理想。

B2段：

是全曲最高潮部分，演唱上运用轮唱。二部和声等等不同方式，在原有音乐的基础上，以和声的二部做为主旋律来演唱，突出了个人高音的演唱魅力，在合唱，轮唱，和声相互交替的人声配合下，充分体现了高潮部分的重叠多变，直至弱结束。形成完全与B 、B1不同的音乐表现力。无论在音乐和演唱上都达到很高的艺术境界，给喜欢欧美流行音乐的人带来心灵的震撼和感动。
