勃朗宁夫人(Elizabeth Browning)是十九世纪英国著名女诗人。15岁时，不幸骑马伤了脊椎，从此卧床24年之久。39岁那年，她结识了比她小六岁的诗人Robert Browning。迟来的爱情使她的人生开始了崭新的一页。勃朗宁夫妇一起度过了15年幸福的生活，在这15年中，没有分离过一天。1861年6月29日，55岁的勃朗宁夫人依偎在爱人怀中永别了她的Robert。
