杜.普蕾，英国女大提琴家，1945年出生，1987年因患多重硬化病去世，琴技超群，然而生命短暂，才活了42岁。

殇,是奥芬巴赫所作，原名：杰奎琳之泪。杜普蕾用生命诠释的演奏，全身心地投入，使这支曲子如此忧伤动人。这首大提琴曲《Jacqueline's tear》据说是杜普蕾人生的写照，极富悲剧色彩，催人泪下的琴声中，乐魂翩然远逝的黯色独舞依稀仿佛近在眼前…… 殇诠释了命运，演绎的却是悲剧。殇，一个不动声色便足以传达哀怨的字眼，一个令人欲哭无泪的字眼，它让人叹息生命的转瞬即逝。
