-Smile! You're in ClubSmart
It pays to have a Shell loyalty card. A customer learns
just how personal the rewards can be when he shows his card. And
he's got a photo to prove it!
A hidden camera film clip shows a Shell customer start to
fuel his car. He is approached by a manager from the fuel station
who points out a special promotion for ClubSmart loyalty card
customers to pose for a free photo with Ferrari driver Michael
Schumacher. The customer continues fuelling and is then seen
entering the station shop. He shows his ClubSmart card not knowing
that walking up behind him is Michael Schumacher dressed in his
Ferrari driver's uniform. Schumacher surprises the customer, who
was not expecting to see the famous driver in person. They shake
hands and pose in front of a photo backdrop as a member of the
station staff takes their picture. The smiling, distracted driver
is then seen walking back toward his car staring at the photo in
his hands. Not paying full attention, he is startled by a car horn.
The clip ends with his surprised reaction.
Just after he announced his F1 retirement in September,
Michael Schumacher took time out to visit a Shell station in
Switzerland. It was a day to have a bit of fun after working
together with Shell and Ferrari non-stop for 11 years at the
pinnacle of motorsport. We installed an array of hidden cameras to
capture the moment. Now you can see three different scenes from
that special day.
