评呼啸山庄(英文版,约三\四年前做的作业)

晕死,刚才在某版搜索,本来打算搜另外一篇我发过的文章的,居然搜出来这个,偶早已淡忘,几年前偶做的作业,相当的幼稚,不过既然搜出来了,也觉得挺好玩的,帖到这里,大家图个乐子.
A)What causes the tragic ending of the love between Heathcliff and Catherine?B) Would it have been possible, under the circumstances, for the victimized lovers to find a way out?
A)I think it is the different class and conservative society which causes the tragic ending of the love between Heathcliff and Catherine.
1. As Catherine was borned in a rich family, and she was used to good food, beautiful clothes, sweet music, splendid decoration and amazing party, I don’t think she could be used to live with poor Heathcliff, if they really had married before Heathcliff got rich, I think their marriage must become tragic ending too, it was said that: poor couples always only have sad lives, that’s true. Catherine must complain all day long, and will hate Heathcliff could only give her this kind of poor life, and from the novel, we could find out that Catherine really was anxious for the splendid life which Linton could give to her, that’s one of the most important reasons why she married Linton later.
2. At that time, society was still very conservative, I don’t think anybody could accept their marriage, especially Catherine’s elder brother, he would try his best to stop their marriage.
B) Of course it is possible for the lovers to find the way out., as Emily, the novelist of this book, has arranged Heathcliff became rich at last, the problem could be solved. And, if both of Heathliff and Catherine are brave enough, they could live together happily, needn’t consider the circumstances, needn’t consider the neighbour’s words. Life is so short, all of us should live for ourselves, not for others, As long as we don’t hurt others, we should do what we want. And as they really fall in love deeply, I think Catherine should divorce with Linton, and Married Heathliff, that would be the happy ending. As she didn’t love Linton at all, just live with him is unfair for Linton too, Linton is not a bad guy, of course he could find somebody who really loved him and married that woman again, not only one woman in this world at all, everybody should find the one who really fit for him/herself.
