TIME WARNER’S ‘DARK KNIGHT’ OPENS TO $160 MILLION: Though the tragic movie theater shooting in Colorado cast
a pall on the opening of “The Dark Knight Rises,” it didn’t seem to
keep crowds away. The final installment in Christopher Nolan’s
Batman trilogy is estimated to have grossed about $162 million in
its domestic opening.
