The couple was all smiles, with William seemingly suppressing giggles throughout the ceremony and reportedly telling Kate “you look beautiful” when she joined him at the altar. Kate wore a Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen dress with Chantilly lace sleeves, and she pulled off the major feat of keeping it a secret up until she arrived at Westminster Abbey. William wore red Royal Air Force uniform while Prince Harry wore his Blues and Royals uniform. Kate followed in Diana’s footsteps with her vows, dropping the “obey” and instead promising to “love, honor and keep” William—but she managed to deliver the lines without any flubs, unlike Diana who famously mangled Prince Charles’ name in her vows.
