In the past year, there was a two percent drop in high school seniors who reported binge drinking-defined in this study as consuming five or more drinks in a row-in the two weeks prior to the study. At the same time, marijuana use increased for all age groups. Ecstasy use also appears to be on the rise among teens, as does the rate of high school seniors injecting heroin.
