Fort Williams Park - Town of Cape Elizabeth, Maine 最出名的景观是

建于1931年7月23日的古老灯塔Portland Head Light，目前它的高度是9

2英尺，这是新英格兰和波特兰醒目的标志。每年有数十万游客络绎不绝

访问这里，感受岩石海岸，惊涛拍浪、纯美空气……

 

 

波特兰灯塔最早的建设者是当地的Jonathan Bryant 和John Nichols…… 以后，乔治·

华盛顿总统任命Greenleaf 做了灯塔的护卫官…… 再后，波特兰灯塔经历过无数次修

整：塔表面、楼梯、安装灯、反射镜、调整灯塔高度等…… 飓风事件也偶有发生……

灯塔俯看大海宽阔的胸怀拥揽一切，岩石和海沙正平和地接吻，还看那狂风卷起千堆雪，让它停歇让它摇曳如羊毛般。
