We have received your L/C APPICATION with thanks,but we are regret to say that there are some points should be changed,they are following:

 

1.Beneficiary name is "XXXXX(HONG KONG) ENTERPRISES LIMITED" instead of "XXXXX(HONG KONG) ENTERPRISES". ........ok noted.

 

2.Extend the latest shipment date till February 10th,2008.Yes,as we said before,we can confirm that the production period is around 45 days,but it takes time to reserve the shipping space and check bill of loading with forwarder.....We should take these time into consideration when we issue the L/C. .............i need to confirm with client for yr shipment date of 10/feb. will revert

 

3.Extend the validity of the L/C(Expiry date) till February 25th,2008.............we cannot make l/c expiry date 15 days after shpt date.............do u know that shipping vessel from shenzhen to kolkata takes only 15 days ..............how can we give u 15 days ..............also, we need some time to make documents ....................i.e. it will take more than 25 days , so, who will pay for demurrage charges at the destination, after vessel arrive, and documents still with you or in the bank ??? u hv to take the responsibilities also. hope u agree..............hence, cannot give more than 8 days for negotiation.

 

4.Location should be "SHENZHEN,CHINA" instead of "SHENZHE,CHINA". ..........ok noted.

 

5."Beneficiary's certificate certify that....within 5 days of shipment" should be "Beneficiary's certificate certify that....within 10 international working days of shipment". ..........................it has to be normally 3 days..but, we give u 5 days

 

6."Certificate of Origin issued and signed by China Proformation" should be "Certificate of Origin issued and signed by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade".....ok noted.

 

In order to effect shipment smoothly,please make necessary amendent to your L/C with the least possible delay.Thank you for your attention.

从他们的回复可以看出来,那些错误不是他们有意犯的,至少可以说明他们还是很有合作诚意的.所以针对他的回复,我再次说明了我们的立场.

--There is no problem for us to finalize our mass production on time.But it needs time to arrange the shipping space and check documents for you,in order to avoid unnecessary trouble in the future,we ask for entending the shipment date.But we'd like to confirm that we can produce the goods on time.I hope you can understand our position.

 

--It will be highly appreciated if you can make expiry date 10 days after shipment date,so that we can get enough time to prepare the documents for you and avoid the holidays on February.

 

--"Beneficiary's certificate certify that....within 5 days of shipment" should be "Beneficiary's certificate certify that....within 5 international working days of shipment". Can you please kindly add the "international working" between "5" and "days"?It will be more official.

 

We hope this amendment will meet with your approval and look forward to receive your L/C.

有好几天客户没有回音,于是写了封邮件去催信用证:

 

Dear Ricky,

 

Good days for you!

 

Refering to the coffee tables under PI  070901,we wish to call your attention to the fact that date for mass production is drawing tight,but up till now we haven't received your covering L/C.Please do your utmost to expedite its estabishment,so that we can execute the order within the prescribed time.

 

For your information,February 7 is our Chinese New Year,our factory will have 15 days holiday then.If we have your L/C before next Monday(December 10th),we might finalize the mass production and effect shipment before our traditional festival.

 

Your prompt attention will be highly appreated.

最后客户回复说接受了上述邮件里面的问题,修改了信用证.但是接到正本信用证以后,我发现有个单词写错了,于是写邮件问他:

Good days for you!

 

We find that there is a spelling mistake on the second page of the L/C.That is "Certificate of Origin issued and signed by China Council for the Proformation of International Trade" should be "Certificate of Origin issued and signed by "China Council for the Promotion of International Trade"

 

In order to avoid subsequent amendments,can you please confitm with your bank for the acceptance of the discrepancy so that we can go smoothly at our side?

这对交单时是一个隐患,必须让对方接受不符点交单或者修改信用证,考虑到修改信用证需要好多时间,就让对方接受不符点交单了~~~~对方也爽快,接受了~~~~
