    一年一度的英国皇家阿斯科特赛马会在距离女王的温莎堡不远的伯克郡举行。赛马会设立于1711年，已经有近300年的历史，一直是世界上最豪华、最奢侈的赛马会，传统的英国人对此非常自豪。

    从1807年开始，皇家阿斯科特赛马会第一次将比赛的第三天定为“金杯日”，因为这天是整个赛程最关键和最繁忙的一天。不过很多英国人包括英国王室却习惯地称“金杯日”为“女士日”(Ladies Day)。因为在这一天，大批女性观众都会前来观赛，而女士们创意十足的帽饰时尚秀更是让赛马会闻名遐迩。今年“女士日”上的帽子则是以体积更大、造型更新奇著称。
